May 2018 - MFA thesis show “Can I Build a Home”
Through ceramics, paint, sculpture, rope, plaster, tar, rocks, and wood, this collection explores the vernacular nature of building a home and explores my personal inclination to nest. Each piece represents a portion of the home identity; walls of plaster and wood, vessels representing water/wine, flowering plants and fish for food/companionship, and lastly, representational images of death and shadows symbolic of the imprint we tend to leave on lived spaces.
